The 2012 RBC Fair book was dedicated to Rangely native Bill Hume, right, who was acknowledged by fair board president Ed Coryell for his contributions and dedication over the years to the RBC 4-H programs.

The Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds in Meeker was the place to be last week for the 2012 Rio Blanco County Fair.

A good fair…

It was the first year for Kelton Turner to show swine and he told his mom, Dr. Kellie Turner, “I’ve had a good fair this year,” after winning the junior showmanship and having the grand champion swine.

Grand Champion …

The Rio Blanco County Horse Show was held last weekend at the RBC fairgrounds in Meeker and “Zandy,” pictured with 11-year-old Lila Klinglesmith was the grand champion gelding.

The annual Horse Show and All-Around competition featured kids of all ages and 4-H experience including Meeker’s Charlie Rogers, who will be in kindergarten this year, pictured with her mom Jamie and great-granddad Joe Collins, to Rangely’s Shelby Neiberger, who will be a senior this year, pictured with her horse[Read More…]

Meeker’s Kelsey Tate was the winner of the all-around horse competition at the 2011 Rio Blanco County Fair and earned a saddle for her efforts. The annual RBC Fair horse show will be held this Friday and Saturday
