MEEKER I The third White River 4-H Swine Club meeting was held on March 19. The meeting was call to order by President Casey Turner at 7 p.m. Club members then did the Pledge of Allegiance, the 4-H pledge and roll call.
MEEKER I At the last Meeker Beef meeting on March 4, the club discussed the importance of the country of origin forms.
MEEKER I The second White River Swine Club meeting was held Feb. 29. The meeting was called to order by Casey Turner, club president.
MEEKER I The first meeting of the Meeker Ghost Riders 4-H Horse Club was held Feb. 26.

MEEKER I At the first Meeker Beef meeting on Jan. 28, we elected officers and made arrangements for a feeder show and weigh-in on Feb. 24.
MEEKER | According to Dessa Watson extension agent 4-H/Youth development, “a nice group of kiddos” served 34 grandparents at the annual 4-H grandparent appreciation dinner, held in Meeker early this month.
MEEKER | Local senior citizens are invited to attend the Meeker 4-H Council’s annual Senior Citizen Appreciation Dinner on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

MEEKER I Madi Shults, a member of the White River 4-H Livestock Club, returned from the 2012 Colorado State Fair. Accomplishing two of the three goals she set at the beginning of this 4-H season.
MEEKER I Bob Klenda’s most recent award-winning piece was a beautiful leather heart that earned “Best of Show.” The piece is symbolic of the volunteerism he and Mike Brennan give to the local 4-H club and other community members.
