Meeker Energy Expo set for Sept. 23

Letter: Museum recognizes event supporters
The Rangely Museum’s annual Ice Cream Social was Sunday, Sept. 6, during Septemberfest weekend. We had a big crowd and served lots of ice cream, including sampling seven entries in the homemade ice cream contest.

Obituary: Judy L. Stacey
Judy L. Stacey was 62 when she lost her battle with breast cancer on Sept. 14, 2009, at the Rangely District Hospital. Judy was born in Mt. Airy, N.C., to Walter and Peggy Lowry. They moved to New York City where Judy excelled in academics in school.
Volunteers make Meeker’s sheepdog trials a Classic
Meeker’s sheepdog trials ended Sunday, but the work didn’t. “Breakdown is almost as busy as the days of the trial,” said director Ellen Nieslanik, who took a few minutes to chat Tuesday, in between hauling grandstands.
