RBC I Local governing bodies received word last week about the money they would receive from direct distributions from severance tax and federal mineral lease funds. However, how long those funds will continue — at least at recent levels — is uncertain.

24th annual Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials
Stock dog handling demonstrations, using ducks, will be presented by Chris Jobe at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the sheepdog trials, part of the schedule of events at the Meeker Classic, which began Wednesday and will run through Sunday at Ute Park.
