Thousands of wreaths honor service members
RBC I Tens of thousands of wreaths aboard 20 tractor-trailers in Maine are destined for Arlington National Cemetery and other sites. The caravan left Worcester Wreath Co. in Harrington Dec. 5 with five of the trucks bound for Arlington, Va., carrying 24,000 wreaths.
Lady Cowboys win pair, take fifth in Cowboy Shootout
MEEKER I New girls’ basketball coach Neil Joy did not win his first game but he said it was “the most exciting.” The Lady Cowboys lost in the first round but won their next two games and finished fifth in the annual White River Electric Cowboy Shootout.
RMS hosts league tourney as both teams finish fourth
RANGELY I Rangely Middle School hosted the annual league tournament last weekend. The tournament brought Meeker, Craig and Steamboat Springs to town. Both the seventh-grade and eighth-grade Rangely teams finished fourth.

BMS boys finish on high note
MEEKER I Meeker’s Barone Middle School traveled to Rangely to compete in the league tournament along with Rangely, Craig and Steamboat Springs. The seventh-grade team won the tournament and finished the season undefeated. The eighth-grade team finished third.
