MEEKER I The Meeker High School volleyball team began its season Saturday with a multiple-team scrimmage. Craig, Steamboat Springs and Rifle brought their varsity, junior varsity, and C teams to town for a full day of volleyball.
Memorial Service: Dale McGruder
A celebration of the life of Dale Obert McGruder will be held Sept. 7, 2013, at 820 Third St., in Meeker, from noon to 4 p.m. McGruder was born March 24, 1953, and went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2013.

A mural that now adorns the east side of Shepherd’s Office Outfitters was unveiled and dedicated Friday afternoon after a torrential rain. Meeker’s Sheepdog Classic will bring 125 teams to town
MEEKER I The phrase “wild and wooly” may best describe Ute Park from Wednesday, Sept. 4 through Sept. 8 at the 27th annual Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials as 125 teams from South Africa, Brazil, Canada and the United States compete for $25,000 in purse and cash awards.
