Back wins pro-am tourney, Watt wins Lischke
MEEKER I The annual Lischke golf tournament, the only tournament held on the Meeker Golf Course that invites golfers from anywhere to compete as individuals, was held last weekend but local golf pro Jim Cook said the “story” was about the winner of the annual pro-am tournament, preceding the Lischke.

Defending Lischke champion J.C. Watt tees off No. 5 at the Meeker Golf Course. Watt led from start to finish to win back-to-back Lischke titles, six shots ahead of the runner-up.

MEEKER I The Meeker Magic, an 8-10-year-old girls softball team, defended their league title, by winning three games and the league title Saturday last, in Basalt.
Brown strikes gold in California
