BLM hosts workshops

RBC | The Bureau of Land Management is hosting a series of community workshops in northwestern Colorado the week of Aug. 8 to hear from the public about what matters to them most about the scenic views on BLM lands.

District seeks new board member

RBC I The White River Conservation District was established on June 23, 1964, with the mission to provide guidance and technical assistance to encourage and promote the wise use of all the natural resources within the district by private landowners and government land management agencies.

Sage-grouse strategy unveiled

RBC I In response to requests from state and local governments to facilitate conservation of the greater sage-grouse and its habitat, BLM scientists and managers met with state wildlife management officials in Big Sky, Mont., July 16 to brief them on the agency’s national greater sage-grouse planning strategy.

The Great Horsethief Shootout

RBC I The Colorado Mule Deer Association is announcing the first annual Great Horsethief Shootout to be held Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Horsethief Canyon State Wildlife Area in Fruita.
