Meeker dominates Mancos
MEEKER — Playing a rare away/home game in Olathe Saturday, the Meeker Cowboys were able to completely dominate the Mancos Bluejays in a game where both teams traveled to a neutral sight.
Cowgirls lasso pair of league wins
MEEKER — The Cowgirls played with more consistency this weekend. Friday night the team faced Plateau Valley and the girls were mentally ready for their opponent. Team members have been working hard on this aspect of their game to help mold it all together.
Panthers claw Grand Junction
RANGELY — The Rangely Panther football team got its first win of the season last Thursday against the Grand Junction Tigers. Rangely had a very nice day in the air with 303 passing yards to six receivers including one offensive lineman.

CAYTON GUARD STATION: United states’ second-oldest ranger station being restored
SILT — The nation’s second oldest Forest Service ranger station, 15 miles south of Silt, is being restored with the help of a small group of very dedicated people.

The Colorado Grand is a 1,000-mile, five-day driving tour of Colorado for pre-1961 sports cars. Since 1989, the event has generated more than $2 million for small Colorado charities and communities.
