Varsity softball 2-0, JV 1-1 after openers
MEEKER | The lady Cowboy softball teams opened up last week with both varsity and JV hosting doubleheaders. Some much-needed rain Friday into Saturday forced the varsity to move its games to Rangely Saturday due to submerged fields in Meeker.

RANGELY | Senior RaeLynn Norman will be leading the way for the Panther cross country team this year coming off a great track season last spring where she competed in the two mile at the state championships.

MEEKER | Cowboy Football is set to kick off Friday, Aug. 24, 7 p.m. at Starbucks Stadium. The opening regular season game has the Cowboys taking on the Skiers from Aspen, Colo.
Panthers prep for football season
