MEEKER | Barone Middle School had a weekend full of volleyball. The teams started the week with games on Tuesday against Steamboat, finding both grade levels winning all their games.

“We would like to thank Coach Cravens for sending his high school volleyball girls over to help officiate and support our middle school girls,” commented Jordan Brown.

Meeker hosted a tournament with Sleeping Giant and Soroco on Saturday.  The eighth grade A and B teams won all of their games.

“A team played hard and scrappy against Soroco, taking them to three matches and fighting for the win in the third game,” said Brown.

The seventh grade B won all of their games, and A won all except the final game against Soroco.

“They took them to three matches as well, but unfortunately came up short in their final match,” commented Brown.

The BMS volleyball teams are headed to Rangely this weekend for a big tournament where they are hoping to see some new and exciting competition.
