Approximately 15 artists from Rio Blanco County, other parts of Northwest Colorado and the Front Range will be in and out of the Meeker area the next three days for the completion of the Plein Air Meeker 2013 Art Competition and Exhibit.

Meekerpalooza festival to highlight music, arts
The inaugural Meekerpalooza Arts & Music Festival will kick off Friday with a series of arts-related events and a concert, continuing Saturday with more arts, food and a day and evening filled with live music.

The Meeker Herald — 125 years ago • A lady and gentleman accompanied by an attendant and two pack horses passed through town about two weeks ago going up river. The entire party was on horseback and apparently rigged for a fishing trip.
