MEEKER I Nine Meeker teams competed at the Regional Destination Imagination Tournament on March 23 in Palisade. The problem-solving teams have been working since November to solve their challenge while practicing thinking “on their feet” for their instant challenges.

MHS takes to the track

MEEKER I On Saturday, the Cowboys track and field team made the long trip to Hotchkiss High School for their second competition of the season. Although many times and distances were hampered by the cold weather, the boys and girls were able to earn some top spots in their events.

Airport to close for seven months

MEEKER I Starting April 8, Meeker Airport will be closed for approximately seven months while Rio Blanco County carries out two projects to improve the runway area at the facility to what eventually may be a C2 rating.
