Curtis “Bud” Duffy of Meeker, Colo., passed away March 4, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. He was 76.

Lincoln re-enactment
Roughly 60 Meeker residents spent an educational two hours on April 14 at Meeker High School, learning firsthand about President Abraham Lincoln. John Voehl of Littleton captivated the audience at the free performance with stories and anecdotes about Lincoln’s childhood, young adulthood and his presidential years.
Boys’ YBA basketball…
Meeker had two fifth- and sixth-grade youth basketball teams this year and Meeker II beat Meeker I to advance to post-season play in Rifle on Saturday, where they lost to New Castle.
Ducey joins Meeker board

Final YBA games occur this week
MEEKER I The Meeker Youth Basketball boys’ season is coming to an end with the last games scheduled this week. The program was a huge success this year with approximately 21 participants in the fifth- and sixth-grade division and 19 in the third- and fourth-grade division.
