Hobbs wins bugling contest

MEEKER I Kesston Hobbs, a fourth-grader at Meeker Elementary School, was named the overall grand champion at the 2011 elk bugling and camouflage contest sponsored by the Meeker Police Department and White River Electric Association.

Trick or treating for canned goods

MEEKER | The Meeker High School FCCLA chapter will be trick or treating for canned goods  Thursday, Oct. 27 beginning at 6 p.m. All donations are greatly appreciated and will be given to our local food bank.

Second chance for Cub Scouts to sign up

MEEKER | Boys in interested in joining the Cub Scout program have a second opportunity to sign up if they missed the first meeting. Another sign-up meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds building.
