Are you ready for Christmas? Thank God for my wife. I always look at her before I answer that question and so far she hasn’t given me the OK, so we are still not ready for Christmas but we still have two days, if I include today.

Chamber names Holiday Lighting contest winners
MEEKER I The Meeker Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Lighting Contest was held Wednesday, Dec. 15 with 10 wonderful entries. Cindy and Vern Rholl at 756 Eighth St. were the residential winners. The Rholls love Christmas and enjoy celebrating the holidays each year.

CNCC registration open for spring classes
MEEKER I Spring CNCC Community Education Classes starting in early January are open for registration. Spring schedules were mailed mid-December to area residents. Several academic as well as community interest classes are available.

Meeker Mayor Mandi Etheridge cut the ribbon at the official opening of the Smithsonian exhibit “Between Fences” at the White River Museum last Saturday. The exhibit will be on display until the end of February.
