Peewee wrestling finale Sat.

MEEKER I The final peewee wrestling tournament of the season will be Saturday in Rangely. More than 20 wrestlers from Meeker competed last Saturday in De Beque and more than half of them placed in the top four of their brackets.

MHS art show starts next week

MEEKER I High school art students show off some of the work they have created in the annual Spring Art Show. This year’s show will be up at the Meeker Recreation Center, starting Tuesday and running through Thursday during regular business hours.

MEEKER I The snow from recent storms melted into the fairways and greens at Meeker Golf Course and the sun shone all day last Saturday for the first annual Shelton Welding three-person scramble. “The course is in great shape and the greens are rolling good,” golf pro Jim Cook said.
