Letter to the Editor: Commissioners ignoring public
Dear Editor: Having read the Aug. 22 Herald Times article titled “County has four plans for justice center using old school,” it occurs to me that there is “a rat in the wood pile.”
Letter to the Editor: Specific Range Call parade photo sought
Dear Editor: I rode my hopped-up 2000 black and chrome Harley Davidson motorcycle in Meeker’s Range Call Parade on the Fourth of July.
From My Window… Heartwarming support for Avery; busy start to September

Letter to the Editor: Letter regarding trailhead parking
Dear Editor: I guess it is illegal to park your vehicle on a public street in Meeker? I received a visit from the Meeker Police Department at my house today to tell me not to park on a public street. I must digress a bit here.

Letter to the Editor: Thanks for Color Run help
Dear Editor: On July 6, New Eden Pregnancy Care Services in Rangely hosted its inaugural (hopefully!) 5K Color Run. There were 73 participants of all ages, joyfully dressed in white, eagerly awaiting their being doused in paint.
Letter to the Editor: Keep energy, recreation balance
Dear Editor: Hunting and fishing in northwest Colorado is a tradition that goes back generations to pioneering trappers and fur-bearers. Mule deer and sage grouse were once much more abundant than they are now and were hunted in greater numbers.
Letter to the Editor: Friendly but not welcoming
Dear Editor: My name is Joannie Tripe and I have lived in Meeker since 1998. I just finished reading your column, “From My Window,” in the Aug. 1 edition of the Rio Blanco Herald Times. I found today’s article really struck a chord with me. I agree with you that[Read More…]
