Letter: Reader frustrated by Congressman’s letter

Proof for an exercise in futility often requires making the effort to actually experience it. Recently, I wrote to my 3rd Congressional District Representative as a “concerned constituent,” merely asking why he voted for health-care reform. Substance for my inquiry was as follows:

Letter: Tea Party wants to restore accountability

There were two letters to the editor in the May 27 Herald Times that particularly caught my eye. The first letter concerning the Tea Party asked questions that, in my opinion, the author knew the answers, but in the interest of extolling the party line feigned ignorance.

Letter: Rio Blanco County Fair will be here soon

With flowers blooming, garden vegetables being planted, and kids working with their 4-H projects, we know (or hope) that summertime is just around the corner. The Rio Blanco County Fair Board works hard every year to plan a wonderful community event, the Rio Blanco County Fair.

Lately, many questions have been going through my head about whether our local governments have gone out of control. Are they taking too much control over our personal lives and property? Why is the town of Meeker threatening to put someone in jail for creating an inventive advertisement?
