Development 101, stakeholder meeting MEEKER | A representative from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade will be in Meeker on Monday, June 25 at Kilowatt Korner (233 Sixth St.) to assist the community in furthering our economic development planning.

Candidate forum tonight

Candidates for the Board of County Commissioners held a forum in Meeker Wednesday and will be at Rangely Town Hall tonight at 6:30 p.m. to answer questions from voters. Mail-in ballots for the Republican primary election are due back Tuesday, June 26.

Proposed land swap discussed

MEEKER I A proposed land swap between Colorado Parks and Wildlife and XTO Energy will be the topic of a public presentation hosted by Colorado Parks and Wildlife in Meeker on Tuesday, June 19, from 7-8 p.m. in the Meeker Service Center at 73485 Hwy. 64.

Hwy. 13 contruction…

Road construction on Highway 13 is ahead of schedule according to Colorado State Highway engineer and Meeker High School alumnus Eric Peterson. Peterson said the improvement is about a month ahead of schedule.

Working byway …

The Flattops Scenic Byway is known as a “working byway” because ranchers like the Rogers family use the route in their ranching operations, like trailing cows to their high country summer range.
