Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7. Remember to set your clocks back one hour. The current schedule, adopted in 2007, calls for DST to extend from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November.

Fatality accident Saturday near Maybell
MAYBELL I A 16-year-old Craig boy was killed in a one-vehicle accident Saturday about 20 miles northwest of Maybell. Russell Walsh, 16, was ejected from the 1996 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by Samuel Jesse Sheridan, age 18, of Maybell. Officially, October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. For Sandy McKelvey and other volunteers who are involved with Rangely Victim Services, Domestic Violence Awareness Month is every month. Making people aware of domestic violence — and that help is available — is an ongoing, year-round effort.
Letter: Grand River board opposes 60, 61, 101
At the July board meeting, the Grand River Hospital District Board of Directors unanimously passed a resolution opposing proposed Amendments 60 and 61 as well as Proposition 101. This action was taken after carefully considering the financial impact on the district both now and in the future.
