The Barone Middle School girls’ basketball teams hosted Steamboat Springs last weekend at the Meeker Elementary School in the final games of their regular season. Rangely will host the seventh- and eighth-grade girls’ basketball tournament Saturday with league teams coming from Meeker, Craig and Steamboat Springs.
RBC teams undefeated…
Rio Blanco County is well represented in the middle school girls’ basketball league as Rangely’s eighth-grade A-team and Meeker’s Barone Middle School seventh-grade A-team are also undefeated so far this season.

The Rangely and Meeker middle schools girls’ basketball teams split games last week in Meeker with the eighth-grade games being won by Rangely and the seventh-grade games by Meeker. MEEKER I Barone Middle School girls’ basketball teams began their season Saturday against Craig Middle School. Both the seventh- and eighth-grade teams had games for A, B and C levels.

RBC I Middle school basketball girls in Meeker and Rangely will open their seasons at home Saturday.

The Rangely Middle School cheerleaders Bailey Stephens, Twila Jackson, KK Wyman, Susie Gillard and Tiffany Holmes, have been cheering their teams this season and will continue to lead the spirit at the annual middle school district basketball tournament Saturday in Meeker.
Meeker sixth-graders win basketball tournament
MEEKER I The sixth- and eighth-grade girls’ basketball teams from Meeker competed in the annual Glenwood Springs basketball tournament Saturday and Sunday. The sixth-graders were crowned champions.
BMS girls play hard
MEEKER I The middle school games in Meeker were filled with excitement the last two weekends. Beginning with the seventh grade B team Feb. 2 in Meeker’s win over the girls from Craig.
