MEEKER I The Meeker Cowboy varsity baseball team won two games last week, including a comeback win against Grand Valley in front of a home crowd.
Meeker’s track team performs well at GWS
MEEKER I Although the recent weather has not been ideal for track meets, it won’t keep the Cowboys off the track, as they competed in Glenwood Springs on Saturday and will compete in Coal Ridge on Friday, then Rangely on Saturday.
Meeker baseball team victorious at home but falls prey on road
MEEKER I The Meeker varsity and junior varsity baseball teams have played several games the past two weeks, including two at home and two against the No. 1-ranked team in the state, with another tough doubleheader scheduled for Friday in Hotchkiss.
Nine Meeker wrestlers capture gold in Hayden
MEEKER I Thirty-five youth wrestlers from the Meeker Community Wrestling Club competed in Hayden on Saturday and 31 placed in the top four. Champions of their bracket were Kaden Ridgeway, Dillon Hobbs, Brendan Clatterbaugh, Cade Blunt, Judd Harvey, Noah LeBlanc, Ty Goedert, Kelton Turner and Dax Sheridan.
