The 2014 Coed Softball League, sponsored by the ERBM Recreation and Park District, started Monday with seven teams, including one from Rangely. Games will be played Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Paintbrush Park.

Edwards, Rohn, Cox capture Rangely Open golf flights

RANGELY I Clark Edwards shot a three-under-par 69 to win the championship flight of the Rangely Open, a stroke-play tournament held Saturday at Cedar Ridges Golf Course, where 35 golfers played in three competitive flights. Trio wins 27-hole, 4-person scramble

RANGELY I “It was a long and hot day,” Chris Hejl, the manager of Cedar Ridges Golf Course in Rangely said of the temperature Saturday when the 27-hole, four-person scramble was played.

RBC I For the second year in a row, the Colorado River Valley 14-Under All-stars won the 14-and-under District 1 Fast Pitch Softball Championships in Grand Junction, allowing them to advance to the state tournament Saturday in Denver.
