The MHS boys’ basketball team officially concluded their 2010-2011 season with the annual parent-hosted banquet. Approximately 60 people attended the function that annually honors outgoing senior players.

Four Rio Blanco County basketball players played in the prestigious USA Junior Nationals All-State High School Basketball Competition last weekend in Denver.
BMS wrestlers finish second
Led by team captains Jake Phelan and Tristin Pelloni, Meeker wrestlers finished second out of 13 teams at the East Grand Middle School Tournament.

Lady Cowboys play in “Sweet 16”
MEEKER I Friday night at Standley Lake High School in Westminster the Meeker girls defeated the Peyton Panthers to play a 2A state qualifier game on Saturday against the Holyoke Dragons.
RHS Lady Panthers fall to Front Range Christian
RANGELY I “Had we come out hard and ready to play it might have been different,” Jimmie Mergelman, head coach for the Rangely girls’ basketball team said of the regional game against the Front Range Christian Falcons. “On that day though, they were better than us.”
Denver Lutheran ends Panthers’ season at regional tournament
RANGELY I “Sometimes you run into a freight train,” Rangely boys’ basketball coach Eric Hejl said. The freight train Hejl was referring to was the Denver Lutheran boys’ basketball team that ended Rangely’s season last Friday with a 90-35 win in the Region 4 basketball tournament.
