MHS senior basketball…
Meeker High School seniors playing on the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams ended the regular season with wins against Rio Blanco County rival Rangely last Friday and both teams won pigtail games Tuesday to advance to the district tournament starting this Friday in Paonia.

RANGELY I The Rangely boys’ basketball team lost their final game of the regular season in Meeker last Friday and a loss in Kremmling ended the season for the Panthers but head coach Eric Hejl is ready to start working toward next year’s success.

MEEKER I A win over Hotchkiss and a loss to Paonia over the weekend lands the lady Cowboys the No. 2 spot in the league as they head into the final weekend of regular season play.

Meeker High School cheerleaders Caitlyn Shepherd, Taylor Ahrens, Jessica Moyer, Lexi Meszaros and Jamie Moyer have been cheering at home basketball games and wrestling matches this season and will be cheering this Friday when the Rangely Panthers come to town for the final game of the regular season.

RANGELY I The Rangely girls’ basketball team lost games to Paonia and Hotchkiss last week and will play their final game of the regular season in Meeker, this Friday. Rangely hosted Paonia last Friday and lost 26-55, to the league’s No. 1 team.
