Brenton wins track & field national championship
RANGELY I After earning All-American honors three times on the Western State College Mountaineer track and field team, Rangely graduate Jason Brenton took three years off from competing in track but returned this year to win a NCAA Division II national title in the triple jump.
BMS wrestlers crown 7 champs
MEEKER I The Barone Middle School wrestling team continued their successful season last week, winning dual meets against Hayden and the Panthers in Rangely Thursday last and finishing second as a team in Oak Creek last Saturday.

Rangely Racquetball Tournament winners
RANGELY I The 20th Rangely Racquetball Tournament was held March 2-4, directed by Shirley Parsons. Numbers were up from last year with 33 participants from as far as Riverton, Wyo., and Lakewood, Colo.
