Four Panthers to state
The 2011 Panther track season has come to the end for all but four athletes. Rangely will be sending two seniors, one sophomore and one freshman to the state track meet this weekend in Denver.
Rangely youth soccer
Rangely 4-7-year-olds played soccer last week in Elks Park.
RHS tracksters earn PRs
This weekend the RHS track and field team traveled to Battle Mountain High School to participate in their second annual Husky track meet.
Final chance to qualify for state track
This year, in order to qualify for the Colorado State Track and Field Championships, an athlete must post a time or distance in the top 18 in the state as there is no longer a regional meet where the top three times/distances qualify.
Panthers end season in Craig
The Rangely Panther wrestling team went to Craig for their last tournament of the year and had an awesome finish to their season.
Off to the races
More than 60 swimmers from Rio Blanco County competed in the first swim meet ever held in the two-year-old aquatics center in Meeker last week.
Barrel racing in Rangely May 14
There will be lots of barrel racing on Saturday, May 14, in Rangely at the Rio Blanco County Outdoor Arena. This doubleheader is a sponsored race of the National Barrel Horse Association Colorado District 10 (NBHACO-10).
Foggy track
Bad weather cancelled track meets for RBC track teams last week and both teams will compete at Battle Mountain this Saturday. RBC 1600-meter runners recently ran through fog in Rifle. Bobby Gutierrez

The Meeker High School wrestling team enjoyed their banquet on Thursday, April 28, at Kilowatt Korner.
RHS Panthers end baseball season for Cowboys

RBC teams play for playoffs
Rio Blanco County’s high school baseball teams met in Rangely yesterday after press time for a doubleheader, which are the final games of the regular season for Meeker and will have district playoff implications for both teams.
