LeBlanc takes fourth at NCAA tournament

MEEKER I Former Meeker High School wrestler and state champion Joe LeBlanc won his first three matches in the NCAA Division I championships, advancing to the semifinal match in the 184-pound bracket, guaranteeing the redshirt Wyoming Cowboy sophomore All-American status for a second year in a row.

Area players receive postseason honors

MEEKER | Stacey Fitzgibbons, a senior at Meeker High School was recently honored by being selected to play in two all-state basketball games. “It shows what kind of athlete she is and how hard she works,” Meeker girls’ basketball coach Hallie Blunt said of Fitzgibbons’ post-season honors.

Young Panthers 4th at Hayden

RANGELY I Coaches are always looking for improvement, and Derek Stolworthy liked what he saw. “We did extremely well. We had 10 placers and even though we were among the smallest schools there, we took fourth out of nine teams,” said the Rangely Junior High wrestling coach.
