Panthers put up 18 points, but still fall
RANGELY I When you’re 0-4, you look for the positive wherever you can find it. Like scoring 18 points, which represented a season high. The Panthers scored more points than they have in any previous game this season, but they still gave up 49 in a home loss Saturday to[Read More…]
Lady Panthers take two, improve to 9-1
RANGELY I What a difference a day makes. The Lady Panthers played perhaps their best match of the season last Friday against Vail Mountain. The next day, against Plateau Valley, they didn’t play nearly as well. However, the outcomes were the same. Rangely won both matches in three games.

Coal Ridge rolls Panthers 52-8

Panthers roll in first home match with North Park

Basalt rocks Rangely 51-0
RANGELY I There wasn’t a lot to say after a 51-0 loss. There wasn’t a lot to say after the opening kickoff. “It was 28-0 after the first quarter, and it was pretty much done,” said Rangely coach Tim Galloway.
Rangely takes 3-2 win at Vail Friday
RANGELY I Jimmie Mergel-man figured Friday’s match at Vail Christian would be a challenge. She was right. And the Lady Panthers were up to the challenge. “I knew it would be tough,” the Rangely volleyball coach said. “They are a good team. They are going to surprise a lot of[Read More…]
RHS coach: We beat ourselves in opener
RANGELY I The scoreboard showed 39-14, in favor of the other team. But that’s not how Rangely coach Tim Galloway saw it. “I think we beat ourselves,” Galloway said after Friday’s loss to Altamont, Utah. “I believe we’re a better football team than what we showed.”
Lady Panthers VB beats Meeker twice
RANGELY I Nothing like getting tested early. Rangely Senior High’s volleyball team won three out of its four matches last weekend in a tournament at Glenwood Springs, including one against county rival Meeker.
