RANGELY I The Rangely track team was fortunate enough to take two hard-working senior athletes to the State Track and Field Championships this past weekend. Logan Osborne qualified for the 300 hurdles and Audrey Hogan qualified for both the 800 run and the 1,600 run.

RANGELY I This past weekend the regional track meet was held in Grand Junction’s Stocker Stadium.

RANGELY I The team of Dutch Kissling, Dave Schneider, Eric and Chris Hejl finished with the best gross score of 58, while a foursome of Jason Cox, Jack Richens, Ryan Kennedy and Dustin Cox had the top net score of 37 in Saturday’s “Bernie Tourney” at Cedar Ridges Golf Course.

RANGELY I The Panther track team went to Craig to compete at the 2010 Clint Wells Invitational. Here are highlights: For the boys’ team, junior Cole Barlow broke his personal record for the 200 dash. He managed to break 24 seconds with a time of 23.96, taking eighth place overall.

Panther boys take fourth; girls seventh at Vernal
RANGELY I The Panther track team went across the state line to compete against Utah teams in Vernal last Friday. The boys’ team placed fourth out of 10 teams with 40 points. The girls’ team placed seventh out of 10 teams with 30 points.
RHS wins league baseball title
RANGELY I Not only did the Panthers beat county rival Meeker, they won the league championship at the same time. Rangely routed the Cowboys in two games Saturday — 21-13 and 25-9. But, most importantly, the Panthers came away as league champs.
Three first places for Rangely peewees at Meeker Tournament
RANGELY I Twenty-five Rangely wrestlers competed in Casey Turner Memorial Wrestling Tournament on Saturday in Meeker. We had 15 wrestlers place and 10 wrestling well, but coming up short. Placing first were Tyce Lucero, Tytus Coombs and Devin Ramirez. Placing second were Karver Lopez, Byron Mackey and Brody McElhaney.
