Masonic Lodge awards $6,000 in scholarships
MEEKER I At the annual awards assembly Tuesday, May 8, at Meeker High School, members of the local Masonic Lodge awarded $6,000 in scholarship grants to the following outstanding 2012 graduates: Trey Morris, Holly Knezovich, Andrea Cook, Katherine Morgan, Jordan Haney, Aubrey Walsh, Randia Rule and Adrienne Wix.
Panthers’ season ends at regional tournament
RANGELY I The Rangely Panther baseball team’s season came to an end with a loss to Resurrection Christian in the first round of the regional tournament last week but head coach Paul Fortunato is proud of his team’s season and excited for next year.
Fellows, Watt defend title
MEEKER I One of the challenges of the annual two-man golf scramble at the Meeker Golf Course is teams have to play 27 holes but defending champs Matt Fellows and J.C. Watt saved their their best round for the last nine holes and won the title again this year.
