MEEKER I At a regularly scheduled Yellow Jacket Water Conservancy District Board meeting on Feb. 2, 2012, Trina Zagar-Brown of Cooley Zagar-Brown, PC, resigned as secretary counsel to the Yellow Jacket Water Conservancy board of directors. Zagar-Brown resigned pending appointment of interim counsel.

BMS wrestlers qualify 14 for state tourney
MEEKER I Twenty-two Barone Middle School wrestlers used their first day of spring break last Saturday to wrestle in the state qualifying regional tournament in Fruita. Fourteen of them placed in the top eight, qualifying them to wrestle in Denver this weekend.
Wind and fuel cell cars studied
RANGELY I Students at Rangely Middle School received a grant to learn about alternative energy sources. The money was used to buy kits to build fuel cell cars and wind turbines.

Fire danger unusually high
