Panthers win homecoming

RANGELY I Wins for the Rangely Panther football team and first year head coach Paul Fortunato have been hard to come by this season but the Rangely players and coaches earned a victory over the Lake County Panthers in the 2011 homecoming game held last Saturday on Yeager Field.

Young named senior vice president

MEEKER I Todd Young, formerly bank manager of the First National Bank of the Rockies – Meeker office, has been named senior vice president of retail banking. In this new position Young manages the FNBR bank managers at all 10 locations across western Colorado.

Hobbs wins bugling contest

MEEKER I Kesston Hobbs, a fourth-grader at Meeker Elementary School, was named the overall grand champion at the 2011 elk bugling and camouflage contest sponsored by the Meeker Police Department and White River Electric Association.
