ERBM annual building closure May 9-13

ERBM gears up for Town Park project; new programs coming
MEEKER I The Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District announced Friday that a contract has been awarded to Hudspeth & Associates, Inc., as general contractor for the construction of the second phase of renovation improvements to Meeker Town Park.

Meeker’s annual family free-fishing day was a huge success as close to 200 men, women and mostly children took part in the fishing event Friday at Meeker’s Circle Park, located across the bridge from Meeker Town Park. Craig runner wins 10K race
MEEKER I The first annual Park to Art 10K race was held on Saturday and included 20 participants. Coming away with the overall win was 13 year-old Wyatt Mortenson of Craig, who posted a time of 45.54.

The Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District and the Meeker High School career mechanical class partnered to work on the rec district’s archery range recently. The students worked on the range shelter to make it more structurally sound.
