The Meeker Herald — 120 years ago March 29, 1890 • J.W. Hugus and Co. have decided to erect a 2-story brick block on their corner. The upper floor will be occupied by the Masonic Fraternity and three large office rooms. This floor is already rented.

LeBlanc takes fourth at NCAA tournament

MEEKER I Former Meeker High School wrestler and state champion Joe LeBlanc won his first three matches in the NCAA Division I championships, advancing to the semifinal match in the 184-pound bracket, guaranteeing the redshirt Wyoming Cowboy sophomore All-American status for a second year in a row.

Rec center daycare will close its door March 31

MEEKER I The tot spot in the Meeker Recreation Center will close its doors March 31. However, patrons will continue to receive the same rates through the end of May by taking their children to the newly opened Angels and Outlaws facility across from the recreation center.
