High country rescue

John Dahlin of Oak Creek was transported Sept. 29 to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction after falling 25 feet from a cliff and rolling another 15 to 20 feet. According to Dahlins’ wife, Hope, he suffered head injuries and a broken kneecap, but is doing fine.

Sometimes the words “politically correct” can mislead people. To be “politically correct” about calling the Meeker Massacre the Meeker Incident is a very good example. There have been suggestions in the paper that the people of Meeker should change the name.
