MEEKER I The Meeker 4-H Council was held Feb. 1 at the Extension Office. President Taylor Neilson called the meeting to order. Stephen Walsh led the pledges. Attendees introduced themselves and described their projects.
RANGELY I Sunday’s 2010 Rangely 4-H Achievement Night celebrated the clubs’ successes. While 4-H members and their families enjoyed a potluck dinner, the Panther Country 4-H Club, Chipigitt, Cloverbuds, Makin’ Bacon, and Fish Buddies 4-H Club were recognized for 100 percent completion. The Muddy Mutts Dog Club and the Scrapbooking Club had 75 percent completion.
RANGELY | The Rangely 4-H Community Council has been busy in the last three months. MEEKER I There were greater rewards this year for hog exhibitors at the Colorado State Fair. The Showmaster Showdown, a competition that awarded the top youth hog exhibitor with a $1,000 college savings bond, 100 pounds of Showmaster feed and an embroidered camp chair.

MEEKER I The fair has rounded up for Rio Blanco County, and some exhibits and animals are participating at the Colorado State Fair. Congratulations to all participants at the county fair. I would like to thank all the people who volunteered at the fair.
RANGELY I The 4-H Sport-fishing club, The Fish Buddies, started meeting in May and the members have been extremely busy since. During the May meeting, members C.J. RANGELY | The Rangely 4-H council met June 7 with four members attending. RaeLynn Norman, Shelby Neiberger, Torie Slagle and Tessa Slagle started the meeting in a competition of building “humans” with PVC pipe.
RANGELY | The 4-H Makin’ Bacon Pig Club has been off to a good start this year. We started off the year with a visit to a pig farm in Craig. We have been planning fun things for the summer and deciding what we will do for our demonstrations.
