Rangely wrestlers end season strong in Parachute
RANGELY I Twenty-eight youth wrestlers from Rangely competed in the final tournament of the season in Parachute on Saturday, and more than half placed in the top four of their brackets, including three champions.
Local golfers win Bernie’s Tourney
RANGELY I Cedar Ridges Golf Course in Rangely was the site of the annual Bernie’s Tourney, a four-person scramble, featuring 10 teams, with players from Rangely, Grand Junction and Vernal, Utah.
Girls win meet, relay sets school record
MEEKER I In the final meet of the regular season in Kremmling, the Meeker High School girls’ team won the Joe Shields Invitational in a field of 13 teams, and the 4×400-meter relay team broke a school record.
Panthers do well in West Grand
RANGELY I The Rangely Panthers track teams ended their regular season in Kremmling and they are excited about the upcoming, state-qualifying, regional meet in Grand Junction on Friday and Saturday.
Meeker Cowboys come out on top of RBC rivalry
RBC I The Meeker High School baseball team finished the regular season with a 0-12 league record, and the Rangely High School team finished with a 4-8 league record, its four wins coming from beating its Rio Blanco County rival in two doubleheaders.
Youth Panthers wrestle in tourney
The Rangely youth wrestling team entered 45 wrestlers in the Casey Turner Memorial in Meeker on Saturday, and more than 20 placed in the top four, including six champions.

The Meeker High School boys’ and girls’ track teams traveled to Craig for the Clint Wells Invitational Track Meet on Friday and returned with mixed results.

Lex Collins, Bryce Ducey and Pat Walsh dominated the competition in the first tournament of the golf season on a cold and windy Meeker Golf Course on Saturday to win the three-person scramble by six strokes.
