From My Window… Vote for broadband issue 1A; congrats Cowboys and Broncos
Whether I sit close to the window or with my nose pressed against the pane, the subject of local ballot initiative 1A, which would pave the way for Rio Blanco County to get broadband, is clear as a bell a winning proposition.
MHS Homecoming 2014
Luke Pelloni of the Meeker Fire Department pumps accelerant onto the Meeker High School Homecoming bonfire at the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds. The fire sparked a great Homecoming in which the MHS football team won 52-0 over Grand Valley. For more Homecoming photos, see below.

From My Window… There are several reasons to pass the Meeker school vote
Hopefully, the windows are clear and the vision is of a sunny election with ballot measure 3A passing so the Meeker School District can get on with doing what it is they are supposed to be doing, and that is offering students the best education possible.
Homecoming events under way at MHS
MEEKER I Homecoming activities are happening all week at Meeker High School. Events started Monday and culminate in a volleyball match and Homecoming dance Saturday.
Rio Blanco County unemployment rate dives in August
RBC I After more than six months in a row in which the Rio Blanco County unemployment rate fell by one-tenth (.1) of a percent, that good news was magnified several times by the county unemployment rate for August.
