Bids sought for pasture facilities for wild horses
RBC I As part of its responsibility to manage and protect wild horses and burros, the Bureau of Land Management is soliciting bids for new long-term pasture facilities located in the continental United States that provide a free-roaming environment.
Ute youth tour Meeker
MEEKER | Throughout the years there has been an outreach from the community of Meeker to the Utes. For several years there have been continued tours and welcomes, including the Ute youth.
100th birthday
It rained during the annual senior barbecue hosted by the Town of Rangely in Elks Park but it didn’t keep more than 100 people from attending including Reinhard Fricken. Fricken celebrated his 100th birthday.

Microburst boasts 70-85 mph winds
RANGELY | Strong, damaging winds from a thunderstorm struck the town of Rangely in northwest Colorado on the evening of June 28. A National Weather Service (NWS) storm survey of the Rangely area determined that a (dry) microburst had occurred.

Building a legacy one log at a time
MEEKER I The Range Call committee has selected two exceptional individuals for this year’s parade marshals. The criteria must have been impeccable character, unmatched work ethic, family values and tremendous history in the area. These characteristics describe Dick and Merle Dean Moyer, the well-deserving 2011 Range Call honored guests.
Elks Park upgrades
The WRBM Recreation and Parks District in Rangely has been upgrading the facilities in Elks Park with more changes to come.
