MEEKER I The Culinary Taste of Lamb Cook-off, held in conjunction with the art reception at the Wilber Barn on Thursday Sept. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m., will feature lamb recipes prepared by vendors at the Meeker Classic Sheepdog trials.

Sheriff stabbed, has surgery; Meeker man faces felonies
RBC I Trying to prevent a family situation from blowing up, Rio Blanco County Sheriff Si Woodruff suffered a stab wound to the abdomen on Thursday afternoon and had to be airlifted to Grand Junction, where he underwent surgery to repair the wound.
