Letter: Anti-conservative bias seen by writer
I don’t understand what’s so hard about trying to get a letter to the editor concerning pro-life remarks, especially when there was a woman standing up for the rights of all women a.k.a. right to abortion.
Meeker contributes $1,000 to powwow
MEEKER I The board of trustees agreed to sponsor the Smoking River Pow Wow this year at the “gold” level of $1,000. The powwow committee had requested a $2,000 donation at the last meeting.
Neilson is state 4-H president
MEEKER I Morgan Neilson isn’t afraid to aim high. The senior-to-be at Meeker High School set her sights on becoming the state 4-H president.
Temporary postmaster
Kim Outlaw of Denver is the temporary postmaster in Meeker. She arrived in May, along with her children, Alana, 3, and Tréy, 7.
Loose Ends: Rounding up strays
A few yee-haws would have come in handy. Following the herd—critter or human—no matter how small, has never been a habit of mine. So when I walked out of church on Sunday and faced a local family’s 4-H project on the loose, I almost turned tail myself.
