Meeker Beavers win Colorado River Valley Championship
RBC I This was the first year youth baseball teams from Rio Blanco County joined the Colorado River Valley Little League, which includes Rifle, Silt, New Castle and now Meeker and Rangely, and it was a Rio Blanco County championship in the season-ending tournament, held in Rifle.

RANGELY I The Rangely High School Panthers qualified three seniors and a junior for the 2014 Colorado State Track and Field Championships in Denver and returned home with several medals, personal bests, two new school records and a seventh-place team finish for the boys.

MEEKER I “Overall, we had a great season and a solid state meet,” Meeker High School track coach John Strate said. “We saw four school records broken this season and three of them were at the state meet.
Season ends for Meeker, excited about the future
MEEKER I For the first time in several years, the Meeker Cowboy baseball team advanced to post-season play. And although the Dolores Bears ended the Cowboys’ season with a 3-2 win in Cortez in the first round of the 2A state playoffs, Meeker coaches are excited about the future.
