Rangely Legion teams wins three of four

RANGELY I The Rio Blanco Legion baseball team split with Eagle on May 29, winning the first game 6-5 and losing the second 11-8. On June 2, the combined Rangely/Meeker team swept Basalt. They won the first game 7-4 and won the second 11-5.

Grandson on New Mexico soccer team

MEEKER I The New Mexico Olympic Development Program recently selected three soccer players from Farmington to represent New Mexico on its traveling squads to U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development events. One was Kegan Roady, son of Dave and Christi (Scritchfield) Roady and grandson of Al and Mona Avey of Meeker.
