Several hundred persons attended Saturday’s dedication of Sanderson Park in Meeker, where races, games, playground equipment and free food in the form of bratwursts, wraps, veggie burgers and other goodies were well utilized by those in attendance.

Fall Festival 2013: Community joins to aid non-profits, have fun
MEEKER I Downtown Meeker will be buzzing from 11 a.m. to mid afternoon on Saturday as Mountain Valley Bank hosts its 10th annual Fall Festival with co-sponsors White River Electric Association (WREA) and the ERBM Recreation and Park District for the benefit of local non-profit fund-raising efforts.

Phase 2 of trails completed between Ute, Sanderson parks
The Bureau of Land Management announced Monday that Phase 2 of the Jensen-Ute Park connection trail north of Meeker is complete.
Vandalism…
Some unknown person or persons apparently tried to dig up and make off with roughly 15 to 20 plants Saturday night or early Sunday at Meeker’s Sanderson Hills Park.
ERBM community appreciation day…
The water slide saw heavy use on Saturday as the ERBM Recreation and Park District filled the park with events during its community appreciation day on the courthouse lawn in Meeker.
