Dan Eddy, from the Rio Blanco Water Conservancy District said the water was flowing over the Taylor Dam spillway at up to 4,500 cubic feet per second (cfs). “I haven’t seen it this high since ’95,” Eddy said of the river, when it reached 4,750 cfs.

Lakeside Cafe opens again
After a two-year hiatus, the Lakeside Cafe at Kenney Reservoir is open again. Lisa Hodges opened the Lakeside Cafe before Memorial Day weekend. It will open each week on Thursdays through the weekend.
Fun with beef
RANGELY I For the last few days, we have been making beef jerky. It was a lot of fun! We were each given about 10 pieces of beef. We had to marinade it with a certain “Hawaiian” marinade, then we were allowed to add additional seasonings to our meat!
