Dancers on display …

The “On the Move” annual dance and tumbling recital was part of a weekend full of individuals, duos and teams dancing in the ERBM Parks and Recreation District-sponsored event at Meeker High School. Dancers were divided into age groups starting with creative movement and tumbling up through fourth grade Saturday and from fifth grade through 12th grade and adult tap on Sunday. Above is the grade 9-12 jazz group of Taylor Ahrens, Madeline Amack, Andrea Edinger, Alexis Gutierrez, Piper Haney, Sydney Hughes, Kendra Nelson, Caitlyn Shepherd, Hailey Simonsen and Jordon Smith performing “Fly,” choreographed by Kari Jo Stevens and her students. Hunter education is offered this weekend

MEEKER I Residents of Meeker and nearby communities will have an opportunity to earn their Hunter Education card by attending a two-day class offered by Colorado Parks and Wildlife at the ERBM Recreation Center.

Fall Festival 2013: Community joins to aid non-profits, have fun

MEEKER I Downtown Meeker will be buzzing from 11 a.m. to mid afternoon on Saturday as Mountain Valley Bank hosts its 10th annual Fall Festival with co-sponsors White River Electric Association (WREA) and the ERBM Recreation and Park District for the benefit of local non-profit fund-raising efforts.
