ERBM to host Summer Jam cage clinic

MEEKER I The Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District will host the Meeker High School Summer Jam Basketball Clinic on July 13, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the MHS gym.

The ERBM Recreation and Parks District sponsors the coed league, hosting games on Mondays and Wednesday in June and July. Ace Trucking remains undefeated and the team to beat.

ERBM turns 35, wants 35,000 visits

RBC I Through the end of 2016, the Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan (ERBM) Recreation & Park District will be running a campaign to reach 35,000 visits at the Meeker Recreation Center during the District’s 35th year of operation.

Free fishing, movie Friday

MEEKER I Friday will be Youth Fishing Day in Meeker followed by Movie Under the Stars, all free and all held at Meeker’s Circle Park, across the bridge from Meeker Town Park.

Batter up…


The 2016 Coed Softball season, sponsored by the Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District, started Monday with games played on both Paintbrush Park fields. The league consists of six teams with games being played Mondays and Wednesdays, on both fields. The first game starts at 6:30 p.m.

Rockies skills challenge…

Several youth competed in the Colorado Rockies Skills Challenge hosted by the Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District in Meeker on Friday at Paintbrush Park. Participants competed in batting, base running and throwing. Champions included Gavin Allen in the 6-7 year olds, Wil Schwartz in the 8-9 year olds, Clay Randall in the 10-11 year olds and Damon Dade in the 12-13 year old division. ERBM Pitch, Hit & Run…

Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan (ERBM) Recreation & Park District hosted the annual Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit, & Run competition on Friday, May 20 at Paintbrush Park Ball Fields. All-around champions included Jonan VonRoenn in the Baseball 7/8 division, Dayton Ridgeway in the baseball 9/10 division, Brady Potez in the baseball 13/14 division, and Rayna VonRoenn in the softball 9/10 division. Meeker Dance Recital…

The Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation & Park District (ERBM) held its 16th Annual Dance & Tumbling Recital over the weekend with the theme “The World is Moving.” Each day featured dancers and tumblers working hard since September to hone their skills for the  public. ERBM to host baseball, softball clinic

MEEKER I The Meeker High School Softball and Baseball Clinic will occur on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Paintbrush Park Ball Fields for boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade and are free.

MEEKER I The Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan (ERBM) Recreation & Park District has released its 2015 Annual Report, which highlights the many accomplishments completed and challenges that face the future outlook for the district.

MEEKER I The Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District will not be offering youth baseball or softball (9 years and older) this summer, but will instead be supporting Little League.
