Wildlife Commission begins water plan reviews
The Colorado Wildlife Commission Thursday received Fish and Wildlife Mitigation Plans from Denver Water and the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District that describe the water providers’ proposals for addressing expected impacts from two transmountain diversion projects that would provide more reliable water supplies to the Front Range.

New website to provide “fracking” data
Many Colorado oil and gas operators will be voluntarily participating in a new website that allows the public to obtain information on the chemicals used to hydraulically fracture a well.
Free fluorescent bulbs available
Due to the change to energy-efficient lighting in Meeker Town Hall there are about 150 of the 48-inch T 12 fluorescent bulbs taken out. These bulbs were in use when removed. The town would like to give these bulbs away to persons who still use the T 12 bulb. These[Read More…]
