MEEKER I The Meeker High School volleyball team won two out of three matches last weekend, beating Caprock Acadamy on Thursday evening and West Grand on Saturday. Their weekend began as they hosted the team new to the league, private school Caprock Acadamy from Grand Junction.

Meeker senior Paige Jones spikes the ball in a match against Vail Christian with teammates Maggie Phelan, Sydney Hughes and Jamie McLaughlin. The match took Meeker five games to win. Meeker will play in Paonia on Friday and host West Grand on Saturday at Meeker High School.

MHS well represented at CCGS All-State volleyball
MEEKER I Meeker was well represented at the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State Games last weekend in Denver. MHS volleyball coach Christy Atwood was asked to coach the 2A Red Team and Meeker seniors Aly Ridings and Piper Haney were members of the team.

MEEKER I The Meeker High School volleyball team played well in the district tournament, advancing them to the regional playoffs next week in Ridgeway.

MEEKER I The Meeker volleyball team finished its regular season with two more wins, securing them the No. 2 seed for the district tournament and setting up a match up against Rangely again on Tuesday night, in the first round of the district tournament.
